Solution-Based Air Conditioning Unit Project for a Museum Storage Area in Zhejiang

Project Overview

This project is located in Zhejiang Province. The air-conditioned area of the museum storage rooms is approximately 833 m², divided into three functional zones: an organic artifact storage room, an inorganic artifact storage room, and a specimen storage room. These storage areas have stringent requirements for temperature, humidity precision, and air cleanliness. The adoption of solution-based temperature and humidity control air conditioning units effectively meets the professional demands for long-term preservation of cultural relics.

A custom-built constant temperature and humidity air conditioning system has been designed for the artifact storage environment. The design incorporates two AOLAN heat-pump-driven solution-based temperature and humidity control units, both installed in a dedicated indoor mechanical room. Among them, the organic artifact storage room is served by one independent unit, while the inorganic artifact storage room and the specimen storage room share the other unit. The separate systems precisely match the differentiated environmental requirements of the different zones, achieving three core objectives: precise control of temperature and humidity, continuous supply of clean air, and low-carbon, energy-efficient operation.

Performance Highlights

The system automatically switches operating modes based on ambient temperature and humidity. In summer or during rainy seasons, when ambient humidity exceeds the set value, it automatically activates the dehumidification mode to reduce storage room humidity and prevent artifacts from becoming damp or moldy. In winter or during dry seasons, when humidity falls below the set value, it automatically activates the humidification mode to increase humidity and prevent artifacts from cracking or becoming brittle. This ensures stable storage conditions throughout the year.

The two units have now been officially put into operation. After on-site commissioning, they operate stably, and all performance indicators meet the design requirements, providing a reliable storage environment for the museum’s artifacts.
